Well, in total I have gained 50 pounds. I am not happy about this as it means SO much work to lose it after James is here. My energy is way down, no spice in the world is without sodium which typically makes for some bland food (hot sauce, sauteed onions and/or garlic, and peppers have become familiar in my cooking lately). The doctor wants to make sure I'm not suffering from a blood clot so I am to lie on my left side (despite how umcomfortable, and even somewhat painful, it is to me ... it could also be the mattress - I long for something without metal springs) for at least 15 minutes every 2-3 hours. Little does she know, once I lie down I do not get up.
At least my appetite feels back to "normal"; meaning, not stuffing my face all day. I'm also going to the restroom less often. Thank goodness for the last month! I feel a little less like a prisoner, despite the motion sickness, Braxton Hicks contractions, and swollen foot. They're minor in the long run, although I will forgive without forgetting.
Tomorrow I get a long overdue prenatal massage. Poor Josh is so worried about hitting pressure points, thus sending me into labor, that he doesn't apply any amount of real, comforting, relieving pressure when he rubs my back and feet.
I can tell that in a month I'll be suffering through back labor. "Like whoa!"
