I believe both James and I are very ready to meet each other. He's got himself positioned perfectly, he's about 6 lbs (the doctor's guessing), and I'm 1cm dilated. I've got my next three doctor's appointments scheduled and, unless I pop two weeks from now while my OB is on vacation, everything is in place for me to get ready to push.
I'm working on my birthing plan, packing (although there are many clothes I don't fit into anymore), and I've sent out directions via Facebook to those who I believe MIGHT want to be at the hospital or visit.
Thursday, if I hear from her, I want to drop off some stuff for baby Claire before Lisa and I get together for Starbucks and girl talk. :)
Everything's getting very exciting and I'm trying to equal out my time spent working, resting, and walking. I try to stay off my feet as much as possible due to swelling, but I feel like there's so much to do to get ready.
The baby shower is this Saturday. THREE DAYS! I'm excited to see everyone and see what we get (I mean, who's NOT excited about getting gifts?!). I'm still paranoid I'm going to end up with a whole lot of clothes and blankets - because that's what we already have too much of - but hopefully in that case everyone will have provided a gift receipt and kept the tags on hahaha (That makes me sound horrible, doesn't it?)
Well, time to nap for a bit before I do mom's hair and then hang out until I go home for the night. Plus, I have to try to make one of the cats cuddle with me.
